दोस्तों सबसे पहले हम Verb को इसके परिभासा (Definition) और उदाहरणों (Examples)  के साथ समझने का प्रयास करेंगें। इसके बाद इसके अलग – अलग प्रकार के Types of Verb को देखेंगे।

Definition of Verb (Verb का परिभासा) in Hindi-

*Verb वैसे शब्द को कहा जाता है जिससे कीसी के कार्य-व्यापार, अधिकार सम्बन्ध अथवा अवस्था का बोध होता है. OR,
*जिस शब्द से जब कोई भी कार्य को करना होना पाया जाता है तो इसे हम Verb (क्रिया) कहते है।
OR,
 *जिस शब्द (word) का प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति (person) अथवा वस्तु (Thing ) के बारे में कुछ कहने के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है Verb कहा जाता है.
*A Verb is a word that denotes an action, possession, relation or state of being.
or
*A Verb is a word used to tell or assert something about some person or thing.
Verb का Hindi meaning, क्रिया होता है।

अब हम इसको कुछ उदाहरणों (Examples) के साथ समझने का प्रयास करेंगे जो की निचे दिए गए है।

ऊपर दिए गए सारे शब्द Verb के उदहारण (Example) है। अब हम कुछ दिए गए वाक्यों (Sentences) को देखेंगे।
निचे दिए गए वाक्यों में Bold शब्द किसी कार्य ब्यापार (Action) को सम्बोधित करता है। अतः वह Verb है।
  1. Ram is weaping. (राम रो रहा है। )
  2. The boys laugh. (लडके हसते है. )
  3. He was beaten.(वह पीटा गया। )
  4. Children play. (बच्चे खेलते है )
  5. The man was walking.(आदमी टहल रहे थे। )
  6. The clock strikes ten. (घडी में दस बजते है )
  7. I was Taught.(मै पढ़ाता था। )
  8. He will come.(वह आएगा।)

निचे दिए गए वाक्यों में Bold शब्द किसी अधिकार (Posession) या सम्बन्ध (Relation) को सम्बोधित करता है। अतः वह Verb है।
  1. He had a car. (उसके पास एक कर था। )
  2. The cow has two eyes. (गाय को दो आँखें है। )
  3. A king has three queens.(राजा के पास तीन रानियां है। )
  4. The poor man has no money.(गरीब आदमी के पास पैसे नहीं है। )

निचे दिए गए वाक्यों में Bold शब्द किसी अवस्था (State of  Being) को सम्बोधित करता है। अतः वह Verb है।

(1 )Principle Verb (प्रधान क्रिया ):-

Principle Verb को main verb या Full Verb भी कहा जाता है। जैसा की नाम से ही स्पस्ट है की जो Verb, Sentences में मुख्य काम करती है उसे principle verb /Main Verb/ Full Verb भी कहते है.
*The Verb which is of main importance in the sentence is called the Principle Verb/ Main Verb / Full Verb.
अब हम निचे दिए गए वाक्यों को देखेंगें, इनमें बोल्ड किये गए Words, principle verb के examples  है।
  1. I read. (मै पढ़ता हूँ। )
  2. He will do.(वह करेगा। )
  3. I am reading.(मै पढ़ रहा हूँ। )
  4. She can dance. (वह नाच सकता है। )

Types of Principle Verb (Principle Verb के प्रकार)

दोस्तों, Principle Verb दो प्रकार (Types) के होते है।
  1. Transitive Verb (सकर्मक क्रिया)
  2. Intransitive Verb (अकर्मक क्रिया )
दोस्तों Transitive Verb और Intransitive Verb को समझने से पहले हमें Object of a Verb को समझना जरूरी है तो चलिए समझने का प्रयास करते है।

What is Object of the Verb in Hindi

Object को Hindi में कर्म कहा जाता है.इसको समझने से पहले हमें Subject के Concept को समझना होगा।

Subject of the Verb (क्रिया का कर्ता):-

वैसे Noun or Pronoun जिसके द्वारा कोई भी क्रिया अथवा कार्य (Verb ) को perform किया जाता है Subject कहा जाता है।
अब हम इसे निचे दिए गए उदहारण से समझने का प्रयास करेंगे।
  1. Ram eats a mango. (राम आम खाता है। )
  2. Mohan goes to school.(मोहन स्कुल जाता है। )
  3. Sita sings a song.(सीता गाना गाती है। )
  4. Rahul Plays in the field.(राहुल मैदान में खेलता है। )
ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में Bold किये गए Words- Ram, Mohan, Sita और Rahul, Subject के Example है। क्योकि इनके द्वारा ही Verb (क्रिया)- Eats, Goes, Sings and plays, Perform हो रहे है।

An object of the Verb (क्रिया का कर्ता):-

Subject (कर्ता) के अतिरिक्त क्रिया (Verb) का फल जिस शब्द पर पड़ता है उसे हम Object(कर्म) कहते है। Object प्रायः क्रिया (Verb) के तुरंत बाद आता है। Object कोई Noun/Pronoun/ Noun Phrase/ Noun Clouse हो सकता है।
There are two types of Object (Object दो प्रकार के होते है)
(1)Direct Object: – वस्तु सूचक शब्द को Direct Object कहते है।
(2)Indirect Object: – व्यक्ति सूचक शब्द कोIndirect Object कहा जाता है।
अब हम Object को निचे दिए गए तरीके से पहचानने का प्रयास करेंगे।

Object को कैसे पहचानेंगे :- Verb के साथ What (क्या), Whome (किसे) लगाकर प्रश्न करने पर जो उतर (Answer) मिलता है, वही उस Verb का object होता है।  और यदि कोई उतर (Answer ) न मिले तो समझ लें की इस Verb का कोई Object (कर्म) नहीं है।

अब निचे दिए गए वाक्यों को ध्यान से देखिये-

(1)Ram eats rice.( राम चावल खता है।)

Eats what? (क्या खाता है ?)- Rice (चावल)

अतः वाक्य (Sentences) में क्रिया (Verb) Ets का Object Rice है।

(2)I like these beautiful flowers.( मै इन सुन्दर फूलों को पसंद करता हूँ। )

Like whom?(किसे पसंद करता हूँ )- These beautiful flowers(इन सुन्दर फूलों को)

अतः इस वाकय में क्रिया like का object, These beautiful flowers है।

(3) My father loved me very much. (मेरे पिता मुझसे बहुत प्यार किया है। )

Loved whom? (किसे प्यार किया है?) – Me (मुझे)

अतः इस वाक्य में क्रिया loved का object, me है।

(4)He is playing in the field.(वह मैदान में खेलता है। )

Playing what? (क्या खेलता है? ) – No reply (कोई जवाब नहीं).

Playing whom? (किसे खेल रहा है। )- No reply (कोई जवाब नहीं)

अतः इस वाक्य  क्रिया playing का कोई object नहीं है।

(5) He gave me money.(उसने मुझे पैसे दिए। )

Gave what?(क्या दिया ) – Money (पैसे) – यह  Direct Object है।

Gave Whome?(किसे दिए ?) – Me (मुझे)- यह Indirect ऑब्जेक्ट है

स्पस्टतः, यहाँ me और money दोनों object है। अर्थात एक हीं Verb के दो विभिन्य object हो सकते है। यहाँ मनी वस्तु सूचक शब्द है इसलिए यह direct object है और Me व्यक्ति सूचक शब्द है इसलिए यह Direct Object है।  निचे दिए गए वाक्यों में Bold किये गए Words, Object के Examples है।

  1. He is reading a book.(वह किताब पढ़ रहा है। )
  2. The teacher taught English.(शिक्षक अंग्रेजी पढ़ाया। )
  3.  I love my father and mother.(मै अपने माता पिता से प्यार करता हूँ। )
  4. Why did he beat you? (वह तुम्हे क्यों पीटा?)
  5. He was singing a song in the room.(वह कमरे में गाना गा रहा है।)
  6.  Birds sing in the tree.(चिड़िया पेड़ पर गा रही है. )
  7. The teacher thought us English.(शिक्षक हमें अंग्रेजी पढ़ाये। )
  8. My mother loves me.(मेरी माता मुझसे प्यार कराती है। )
  9. I love my mother.(मै अपने  माँ से प्यार करता हूँ। )
  10. Do you know English?(क्या तुम अंग्रेजी जानते हो। )
  11. I shall solve the problem.(मै समस्या का समाधान करूँगा। )
  12. My father bought me a pen.(मेरे पिता मुझे एक कलम ख़रीदा। )
  13. He did the work.(उसने काम किया। )
  14. Kindly give me the pen.(कृपया मुझे एक कलम दीजिये। )
  15. He gave ram a book.( उसने राम को एक कलम दिया। )
  16. The dog can run fast.(कुत्ता तेज दौड़ सकता है। )
  17. Birds fly in the sky.(चिड़िया आकाश में उड़ाती है। )
  18. He reads in this school.(वह इस स्कुल में पढती है।  )
  19. The children are flying kites.(बच्चे पतंग उड़ा रहे है। )
  20. He reads English and Hindi.(वह हिंदी और अंग्रेजी पढाता है। )
  21. They play cricket on the field. (वे मैदान में क्रिकेट खेलते है। )
  22. The boy cut his hand with a knife. (लड़का चाकू से अपना हाथ काट लिया। )
  23. I don’t like that naughty boy.( नटखट लडके को पसंद नहीं करता हूँ। )
  24. I love the students of these schools.(मई इस स्कुल के छात्रों से प्यार करता हूँ। )
  25. Bring a glass of water.(एक  ग्लास पानी लाओ। )
  26. They are cutting the old trees.(वे पुराने पेड़ काट रहें है। )
  27. They make these types of furniture. (वे इस  तरह के फर्नीचर बनाते है।)

अब हम object को अच्छे से समझ चुके है तो अब हम Transitive Verb और Intransitive Verb के परिभासा को उदहारण के साथ समझने का प्रयास करेंगें।

(i)Transitive Verb (सकर्मक क्रिया ):-

जिस क्रिया (Verb) के बाद object(कर्म) का प्रयोग हो उस क्रिया को Transitive Verb (सकर्मक क्रिया ) कहते है।
* The Verb used with an object is called a Transitive Verb.
अब हम निचे दिए गए वाक्यों को ध्यान से देखेंगें-
  1. Ram eats rice. (राम चावल खाता है। )
  2. I love you. (मैं तुमसे प्यार करता हूँ। )
  3. He has helped my brother.(उसने मेरे भाई का मदद किया है। )
  4. I know this.(मैं इसको जनता हूँ। )
  5. My brother has read the book.(मेरा भाई इस किताब को पड़ चूका है )
  6. I like these beautiful flowers.  (मैं इन सुन्दर फूलों को पसंद करता हूं।)

ऊपर दिए गए Bold Words जैसे – rice, you, my brother, this, the book तथा these beautiful flowers,  Object(कर्म) है. इनके साथ प्रयोग किये गए Verbs-  eats, love, helped, know, read और Like, Transitive Verb (सकर्मक क्रिया) के Example है।

निचे दिए गए कुछ और वाक्यों को देखिये इनमें दिए गए Bold, Words, Transitive Verb के Example है।

 

  1. I eat a mango.(मै एक आम खता हूँ। )
  2. She reads books.(वह किताब पढ़ती है )
  3. The peon rang the bell.(चपरासी घंटी बजाया)
  4. He is flying a kite.(वह पतंग उडाता है। )
  5. I speak the truth.(मै सच बोलता हूँ। )
  6. I sang a song.(मैंने एक गाना गाया। )
  7. My son broke the glass. (मेरे लडके ने ग्लास तोडा। )

(ii)Intransitive Verb (अकर्मक क्रिया):-

जिस क्रिया के  बाद कर्म (Object) का प्रयोग नहीं हो उस क्रिया को Intransitive Verb (अकर्मक क्रिया) कहते है।
* The Verb used without an object is called an Intransitive Verb.
अब हम निचे दिए गए वाक्यों को उदाहरण के  तौर पर देखेंगें।
  1. I eat. (मै खाता हूँ। )
  2. I go to school.(मै स्कुल जाता हूँ )
  3. Ram walks into the field. (राम मैदान में टहलता है )
  4. He gets up at five o’clock.(वह पांच बजे जागता है। )
  5. I sleep.(मै सोता हूँ। )
  6. He ran fast.(वह तेज दौड़ता है। )
  7. She reads. (वह पढ़ती है। )
  8. The bell rang loudly. (घंटी तेज बजी। )
  9. Birds fly in the sky. (चिड़िया आसमान में उड़ती है।  )
  10. He speaks too loudly.(वह बहुत तेज बोलता है )
  11. Birds sing in the trees.(चिड़िआ पेड़ पर गाती है। )
  12. The Glass Broke.(ग्लास टूट गई। )

ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में Object (कर्म )नहीं है, इसलिए ऊपर Bold किये गए words, Intrasitive Verbs  के Example है।
Note:- निचे दिए गए Verb के पहले object कभी नहीं आता इनका प्रयोग ज्यादातर Intransitive Verb के रूप में होता है –
  1. Go – जाना
  2. Come – आना
  3. Sit – बैठना
  4. Sleep- सोना
  5. Die  – मरना

(2 )Auxiliary Verb (सहायक क्रिया) :-

जो क्रिया Tense, Voice, Mood, Etc. को बनाने में Principle Verb (प्रधान क्रिया) की सहायता करे। उसे हम Auxiliary Verb या Helping Verb कहतें है।
*Auxiliary Verbs are used together with other verbs to help them in the formation of Tenses, Voices, Moods, Etc.
जैसे- निचे दिए गए वाक्यों में Bold किये गए words, Auxiliary Verb (सहायक क्रिया) के उदहारण है।
  1. I am Reading. (मै पढ़ रहा हूँ। )
  2. He will go.(वह जायेगा। )
  3. My brother has come.(मेरा भाई आ चूका है । )
  4. She Should walk.(उसे टहलना चाहिए। )
  5. She has eaten. (वह खा चूका है। )
  6. I did not go there. (मै वहां नहीं गया। )
  7. I have been reading. (मै पढ़ता रहा हूँ। )
  8. I have been a teacher. (मै एक शिक्षक रह चूका हूँ। )
  9. I am reading.(मै पढ़ रहा हूँ। )
  10. Did he go?(क्या वह गया। )
  11. We shall have been working for ten days.(हमलोग दस दिनों से काम करते रहेंगे।)

कुल Auxiliary Verbs की संख्या 24 है जो की निचे दिए गए है।
  1. Am- हूँ।
  2. Is – है।
  3. Are – हो।
  4. Was – था।
  5. Were – थे।
  6. Do – करना।
  7. Does – करता है।
  8. Did – किया।
  9. Have – रखता है।
  10. Has – रखता है।
  11. Had – रखता था।
  12. Ought – चाहिए
  13. Should – चाहिए
  14. Must – आवस्य चाहिए।
  15. Can – सकना
  16. Could – सका।
  17. May – सकता हूँ ।
  18. Might – सकता था।

ऊपर दिए गए Auxiliary Verb (सहायक क्रिया) को हमेसा अपने दिमाग में याद रखें।

Types of Auxilary Verb (सहायक क्रिया के प्रकार )

Auxiliary Verb मुखतः तीन प्रकार के होते है।
(1)Primary Auxiliary Verb:- To do, To have और To be को Primary Auxiliary Verb कहा जाता है। जैसे –
Example of To be Verb- Be, Is, Am, Are, Was, Were, Being, Been
Example of To have Verb- Has, Have, Had and havig
Example of To do Verb- Do, Does and Did

(2)Modal Auxiliary Verb:- Can, Could, May, Might, Shall, Should, Will, Would, Must and Ought to को Modal Auxiliary Verb कहा जाता है।
(3)Marginal Auxiliary Verb:- Used to, Date and Need को Marginal Auxiliary Verb कहा जाता है।
